Influence of the quality of the functional periphery of the lower limb on the posture and axial system in children
CIMLOVÁ, Martina
This bachelor thesis looks at the influence of the quality of the functional peripheral of the lower leg on the posture and axial system. The periphery of the lower extremities is an important part of the musculoskeletal system. The quality of the lower leg periphery will influence the functional involvement of other areas. Functional leg disorders can cause functional disturbances in other areas or affect them significantly. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. Psychomotor development from prenatal to preschool has been described in the theoretical section. Furthermore, the work deals with functional anatomy of the leg and development of the functional leg. The axial system is the main theme of the next chapter. Posture, postural function, stability, as well as posture disorders are further content of the theoretical part. Conclusion of the theoretical part deals with the defective posture of the most common functional disorders in the lower leg area. This part is concluded with the possibilities of postural therapy in children. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is processed in the form of qualitative research. Probands are individuals aged 3-6 years with impaired lower leg support quality, enrolled in physiotherapy at outpatient facility Rehabilitation Borovany s.r.o. Physiotherapy was carried out by a trained physiotherapist, the therapy was followed by a student and subsequently described in case reports three children. Individual case reports include an initial examination, a course of therapy and an exit examination. The first goal of the work was to describe the development of the functional support of the lower limb periphery and the influence of its quality on the posture and axial system in children. The second objective was to describe therapeutic practices in specific individuals aged 3-6 with impaired support quality. In the form of case reports. Early detection of a deviation in psychomotor development and recognition of defective posture is essential for the early start of therapy and thus for its success. The bachelor's thesis can serve physiotherapists in practice as an inspiration for therapeutic practices in preschool-age children.

Identification of changes in mechanical characteristics of human axial system as a result of loading and relaxation regime
Van der Kamp Kloučková, Kateřina ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Maršík, František (referee) ; Rosina, Jozef (referee)
Problem: A lot of attention is given to the safety of the driving and the possibility to register fatigue of the drivers. Driving cars is monotony and static. Vibration loading, which causes changes in the axial system. This causes discomfort and fatigue to drivers after some time of exposure to the loading. Hypothesis: It is possible to prove the changes of mechanical characteristics (indicators) of the axial system using the TVS (transfer vibration through spine) method. By using TVS method before and after different types of loading or before and after relaxation it is possible to detect changes of the viscoelastic properties. This can be done by checking changes in the way of waves transfer through the axial system of the observed participants. Objective: Verify the possibility of use of TVS method to register changes of the viscoelastic characteristics of the axial system. Method: The TVS was chosen as a detection method. The method is based on the use of five-msec semi-bandwidth γ pulse stimuli and consequent application of continuously changing harmonic stimuli which periodically differ between 5Hz and 160Hz to the vertebrae C7 and L5. This wave is carried through the axial system and its acceleration on the spinous processes between C7 and S1 is scanned with the help of accelerometric...
Identification of the cervical spine's meniscoids by MRI before and after aplication of manual therapy
Píglová, Tereza ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Eva (referee) ; Vacek, Jan (referee)
Introduction The joint dysfunction of the spine in the sense of functional blockade is connected with corresponding painful condition, reflex contraction of the surrounding muscles and restriction of mobility in the spinal segment. Joint block has its mechanical context, which need not be accompanied by a structural disturbance but it's affecting the biomechanical properties of the spine. Several theories exist how the joints become restricted. Scientific evidence highly supports the meniscoid entrapment theory. Purposes The aim of the study was to identify the meniscoids of the cervical spine using in- vivo MRI imaging and to determine their potential role in the development of functional joint blocks of the axial system (AS). Another objective was to find out how the articular blocks affect the rheological properties of the spine by the Transfer Vibration through the Spine (TVS) method. Patient sample The MRI study was conducted on a research file of 12 subjects - two anatomical preparations and ten in vivo. Two subjects were examined in TVS experiment. Methodology Two anatomical preparations were investigated on MRI to find the appropriate sequence for imaging of meniscoids, three subjects for identification of meniscoids in vivo. Seven subjects underwent initial investigation, manipulation of...
